Funding for the Licking Park District was cut by almost 70 percent in the past two years, resulting in major decreases in financial resources and staff.
  • Some facilities are often closed, and planned developments have been halted.
  • Many paths, equipment, trails and buildings have maintenance and safety issues.
  • All special events and educational outreach programs were cancelled.
A small levy – about $7.65 per year – is essential to protect and sustain the safety and quality of our parks, bike paths, trails, and programs.

Licking County’s parks, bike paths & trails provide excellent enjoyment of outdoor activities and our nature areas. Individuals and families use them to participate in healthy recreation and educational programs, and to support local environmental protection and conservation.

The 13 facilities and related programs, managed by Licking Park District, also enhance the cultural and economic quality of communities across Licking County.
  • More than 1,600 acres
  • 24 miles of trails
  • 25 miles of bike paths
